No Linux Support Yet

We got some bug reports about klinkr not working under Adobe AIR for Linux. The klinkr development team uses Mac OS X primarily, but we like Linux, so we tried to reproduce the bug reports and sure enough klinkr wasn’t working. It turns out that the problem is that AIR for Linux is still in beta and is missing some features that klinkr needs (like the Encrypted Local Store that we use to store your Plazes credentials). Also, the AIR SDK is not available for Linux yet. We hope our (potential) Linux users are willing to wait for these features.

Update: Adobe AIR for Linux is still alpha (and of pre-alpha quality apparently).

AIR SDK is available for Linux – end of the page at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air_linux.html.

We’ll soon be starting a pre-release program for the upcoming AIR Linux beta – do let us know if you’d be interested (at ashutosh – at – adobe – dot – com).
